Terms of Sale
The property is offered for sale “as is” and “where is” and without recourse against the United States. The United States makes no guarantee of condition of the property, or its fitness for any purpose. The United States will not consider any claim for allowance or adjustment or for the rescission of the sale based on failure of the property to comply with any expressed or implied representation.
Form of Payment
All payments must be by cash, a certified, cashier’s, or treasurer’s check drawn on any bank or trust company incorporated under the laws of the United States or under the laws of any State, Territory, or possession of the United States, or by a United States postal, bank, or express money order. Make check or money order payable to the United States Treasury.
The Terms of Payment
At the time of the sale, the successful bidder shall deposit with Internal Revenue Service, Property Appraisal and Liquidation Specialist, by money order, certified check, or cashier’s check payable to The United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, a deposit in an amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00).

Before being permitted to bid at the sale, potential bidders shall display to the Property Appraisal and Liquidation Specialist proof that they are able to comply with this deposit requirement. No bids will be accepted from anyone who has not presented that proof. The government reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw the property from sale. The sale of the property shall be subject to confirmation by The United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

The successful bidder shall pay the balance of the purchase price for the offered property within thirty (30) days following the date of the sale. The successful bidder shall deliver a money order, certified check, or cashier’s check, payable to The United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, to the Property Appraisal and Liquidation Specialist.
